Biography
Robert John Yeary was born on November 19, 1930, in Cochran County, Texas.
After graduating from school in Morton in 1948, he moved to San Angelo, Texas, where he attended San Angelo Business College. He began working for the Santa Fe Railroad in 1949.
Yeary was drafted into the United States Army in 1951 and was discharged in 1953. After his military service, he began farming in Bailey County.
The following year, he enrolled at Texas Tech and received his bachelor's degree in 1958.
He married Maxine Bowers in 1956. In October 1985, he was appointed Cochran County judge.
Judge Yeary served until November 9, 1998. He died on April 20, 2006, in Cochran County, Texas, and was buried at Morton Memorial Cemetery in Morton, Texas.
